Hugo's 23 now. Four years ago, he had a big moment when he realised how much damage we humans are doing to planet Earth. It upset him and he really wanted to do something to put it right. But how?
The problems of the climate and pollution are so enormous that Hugo says he felt overwhelmed. He couldn't think where to start and thought that maybe there was just nothing that one teenager could do.
But after a bit, Hugo discovered a local organisation that brought people together to do things to help the environment. He joined in and really enjoyed it. More important, he realised that when we get together with others, we can really make a difference! We all have strengths and talents. And when we combine those with the different strengths and talents that other people have, we really have superpowers.
Hear from Hugo about his experiences, and get tips on how you can find your own superpowers in the WoW! News app.
"I was a very inquisitive child who asked lots of questions. Maybe too many questions! But that's helped me to better understand the world."
"Élise Lucet, a journalist on French television who really knows how to ask questions, even if they annoy people. She really inspired me and showed me that every question is worth asking."
"To get involved in fixing the things that you don't like, the first thing to do is figure out something that you like doing and then find other people to do it with. That's because it's by working together that we can really make a difference. And also, don't be afraid of getting together with people who are different from you. I believe that it takes people of all sorts coming together."
