More than 12 million people have left their homes in Ukraine because of the war there; we went to meet Ailin and her family, who are thrilled to have found a way to help

In March, bombs were falling close to Ludmila's home in Zhytomyr and so she left with her children, Lisa, 7, and baby Egor. She got out of Ukraine and ended up in France.

At the same time, Ailin was watching the TV news in France every evening and seeing the terrible things that were happening in Ukraine. She really wanted to help but felt that, on her own, there wasn't much she could do.

Then she thought of a way to help. She could give a room to Ukrainian refugees. That's how Ludmila, Lisa and Egor came to live with Ailin and her family. It wasn't easy at times. Ailin's son Raphael, 10, grumbled about giving up his room.

But when WoW! News went to visit them, both families said it had been fun getting to know each other over the past couple of months. And Ailin said she was proud of the way her children had learned to share and now wanted to help more people once Ludmila goes home.

Come and meet them all in this weeks WoW! News app capsule!
