You can meet the four young changemakers who have spoken to WoW! News in 2022 for the World of Solutions series in our app. There, you can also test yourself with quizzes and discover your own superpowers. You can also hear from them at our series video site "A World of Solutions" (which also exists in French).
Like everyone we interview for WoW! News, Sagarika, Timothy, Eiman and Isidora are proof that the world is full of people working to fix our problems. And they have a message for you - everyone can do something!
Here's what they had to say:
By educating someone we can create change in the world. That’s what made me motivated...
Sagarika Deka. At 17, she set up a school in India where young people share their education with kids who would normally have to work instead of learning.
Little did I know that, in the field I am in now, I’m saving lives - maybe even more than a doctor.
Timothy Kayondo. As an engineering student, he invented a simple water filter that is saving people from diseases. Growing up in Uganda, he wanted to be a doctor.
As kids, we need to discover what we’re passionate about and what we want to make change for.
Eiman Jawwad. Now 17, she has set up a recycling network in Pakistan to turn old tea leaves and coffee grounds into cheap organic fertiliser.
Don’t let your age stop you getting involved. An, don’t go thinking that your ideas, no matter how little, can’t change the world!
Isidora Guzmán. When she was 13, she started a movement to make sure people with disabilities, like herself, could play a full part in the community.
Meet these and our 50 other changemakers and solutioneers from 2022 in the WoW! News app.
Our YouTube channel "A World of Solutions" features reports on the four young people in this article. The same reports are also available in French.
