A giant solution to a huge problem

Cleaning up our planet means building some big stuff - like enormous wind turbines to make electricity. But how to move this big stuff around? We found a big solution...

Wind turbine blades can be 50 metres long - that's like four buses lined up end to end. How do you get them from the factory to the hilltops or offshore islands where they can generate the most power?

The answer today is that they mostly travel by road, on monster trucks that, like most trucks, belch out plenty of carbon dioxide. So creating something that's good for the environment - wind turbines - means starting with something not so great.

In the WoW! News app this week, you can meet Romain Schalck. Romain has a cleaner solution to moving big things around to remote places. It's a gigantic solution in its own right - the world's biggest flying machine. Tune in to the app to find out all about "Flying Whales"!
